After building her brand in nearby Schenectady Trading Company, Tonya Hall has expanded to a storefront on Jay St for her kitty wares.

The Spicy Purrito officially opened its doors on 34 Jay St earlier this month. On her website, she offers cat accessories, cat nip mats, cat-themed home decor, kicker sets, treats and more!

As Hall said to News10, “After 40+ years, my grandmother and mother still make sure to give me cat-themed birthday cards, which I treasure,” said Hall. “Although I have always been creative and artsy, I stumbled upon sewing in college. After many years of practice, I became a fairly decent quilter. An entrepreneur at heart, I spent a few years trying to figure out how I can marry my love of fabric with my love of cats and, lo and behold, The Spicy Purrito was born!”

Hall started her business in 2017 and now, at this storefront, she will be open on weekends, by appointment and during certain local events that she recently listed on her Facebook page.
