When I tell you to imagine Amsterdam, NY, do you immediately think of a castle? Yeah, I didn’t either but this castle in Amsterdam is something to see. Imagine the Hogwarts Great Hall in Upstate NY because this is as close as we’re gonna get.
Whenever I think of Auriesville, I think of, what I call, the “Kateri Shrine.” I finally had a chance to visit and it’s much more than a shrine to one person.
My confirmation name is Kateri and though my relationship with religion has since changed, I’ve always had a connection to her. I’ve visited the Auriesville Shrine a few times but did you know Saint Kateri has her own shrine just a few minutes away?
