Troy and Saratoga aren’t the only ones getting the Hollywood treatment. Filming to begin on upcoming Woody Harrelson show in Albany this week.

A few months ago, I posted about the upcoming actor search for the television filmings coming to the area. We’ve obviously heard about “The Guilded Age” in Troy and saw a ton of the pictures of the complete Downtown makeover. Now, Albany, it’s your turn.

HBO is filming another series in the Capital Region called “The White House Plumbers” which Wikipedia describes as “The White House Plumbers is an upcoming American political drama television miniseries created and written by Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck and directed by David Mandel, based on the 2007 novel Integrity by Egil Krogh and Matthew Krogh.”

The Times Union is reporting that Tuesday and Wednesday there may be some areas blocked and some traffic issues, saying “Academy Park across from the state Capitol will be used for filming, as well as buildings as backdrops on State Street and Broadway. Streets in what is considered the “parking lot” district around the city’s bus station are also slated for closure…Drivers should be aware that main streets in downtown Albany may be closed on and off, including parts of Washington Avenue around Academy Park, as well as State Street and Broadway, on Tuesday. There will also be parking restrictions around Academy Park and on State Street and Broadway from the early morning hours Tuesday to late Wednesday night”

Actors involved in the show include Woody Harrelson as E. Howard Hunt, Justin Theroux as G. Gordon Liddy as well as Kathleen Turner, Kiernan Shipka, and Domhnall Gleeson.
