HBO Is Casting in Albany and Troy

Have you always wanted to be an actor? This may be your chance to be on a big network like HBO because they’re filming locally.

HBO has announced that they’re looking to Albany and Troy for casting for some upcoming projects. News10 has reported that they’re looking for men, women, and children for paid extra work.

In order to qualify, no acting experience is necessary and you can register online for free. You must legally be able to work in the United States, have flexible availability, and be able to pass the mandatory COVID-19 testing before filming.

The first project is called “The Gilded Age” which is set in 1881 and will be filming in Troy in May and June. Casting directors are hoping to specifically find women with long hair in natural colors. You can register through the website above or send an email directly to gildedage@gwcnyc.com. According to casting announcements, it will be staring Christine Baranski and Cynthia Nixon.

In the subject line, put TROY and include:

  • Name
  • Phone
  • Union status (SAGAFTRA or nonunion)
  • Height
  • Weight
  • Clothing size
  • Current photos showing your current look and hair color/length

The second project is called “The White House Plumbers,” telling the story of the masterminds behind Watergate in the 1970s. They are filming in Albany and looking for men, women, and children to film late summer and early fall of this year. You can register at the link above or email directly to locations@gwcnyc.com. According to casting announcements, it will be staring Woody Harrelson and Jason Theroux.
