Though there was a meet last year, it looked a little different than other years. Well, NYRA has announced what COVID means for the Saratoga Race Course in 2021.

NYRA has announced that the 40-day 2021 meet will begin on Thursday, July 15 and run through Labor Day, or September 6.

According to Saratoga Living, “Following Opening Day and weekend, racing will be conducted five days a week with the exception of the six-day closing week. The summer meet will be highlighted by the 94th running of the Whitney Handicap on August 7 and the 152nd running of the Travers Stakes on August 28.”

It’s still unclear whether the 2021 meet will allow spectators. As you remember last year, most of last year went fan-less due to the pandemic.
