Looking for something to fill your tummy and your heart? If you haven’t yet, try this farm-to-table comforting stop. It’s called that for a reason.
Comfort Kitchen is located inside the Saratoga Marketplace. It opened in 2012, by Chef/ Owner Rory Moran as a farm-to-table eatery in the heart of Downtown Saratoga Springs. Everything is made fresh, in-house, and they use local ingredients whenever necessary.
According to their website, “Our menu focuses on classic American comfort foods like , salads, tacos, snacks, burgers, sandwiches, house-made pastas, snacks and pickles.”
One thing that Comfort Kitchen is known for is their fried chicken. The last time I was up and hungry in Saratoga I grabbed a fried chicken sandwich ($15) from Comfort Kitchen and it was delicious. It’s Misty Knoll Farm (New Haven VT) buttermilk-brined chicken, spicy mayo, B&B pickles & lettuce. The chicken was crispy and it took a little while to be ready but, to me, that shows that they’re made-to-order and there aren’t just a bunch of fried chicken sandwiches made back there. If you like fried chicken, give it a try.
