How cool is it to see a national publication realize how amazing the Capital Region is? They recently named a local area one of the top tourist destinations in the country, but we already knew that!
USA Today announced in a recent publication that Lake George is one of the top tourist destinations in the country, according to the Post Star. They picked one place from each of the 48 states in the continental US and for New York, they picked Lake George as one of the “Perfect towns for a weekend trip in every state.” They called it “a quintessential vacation area” and then listed a ton of things I need to add to my bucket list!
They featured businesses like: the Adirondack Eagle Flyer zip line, the Lake George Steamboat Company, Fort William Henry, and though not technically Lake George they also mentioned Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom, Natural Stone Bridge and Caves, as well as Revolution Rail Co. Have you tried any or all of these things? What’s your favorite thing to do in Lake George?
