The cafe started in Manchester, VT in 1988 and now, it has another new home in Latham.
The Works Café started by serving delicious, traditional bagels and other healthy foods sourced locally. Now, they’ve grown to nine different locations across New England with their newest in Latham, NY in Newton Plaza taking over where Brueggers Bagels once was.
According to their website, The Works Café still reflects the early idealism of its founders. The company continues to run on the principle of the triple bottom line—people, planet, profit.
The Latham location focuses on ancient grain power bowls, breakfast burritos, egg sandwiches, bagels (breakfast all day), salads, sandwiches, paninis, mac & cheese, smoothies, and soups. See the full menu on the Latham location’s website. This is their first location in New York.
