If you’re looking for a quick drive outside of the Albany area and need a place to grab some food, check out the delicious eats at Chatham Brewing.
Chatham Brewing has a really great backstory. According to their website, “Tom Crowell and Jake Cunningham were introduced to each other through their wives who learned the two shared a love for beer.” Love that! Once they found out that Albany’s Big House Brewing was selling their brewing system, Chatham Brewing was born. It seemed as quickly as they were making beers, they were winning awards. Their brand continued to grow to the tasting room and restaurant where they are now.
They’re currently open for dine-in indoor and outdoor seating on their patio. Take a look at the beers they offer on their website and grab a pint (or a flight like I did). Two of my favorites were Mango Bombogenesis (Our cult classic Double IPA- Bombogenesis- just got better thanks to an infusion of mango puree) and Farmer’s Daughter (Spicy, fresh and a little sassy, this Rye IPA will keep your attention from the moment you bring her to your lips. Brewed with locally grown rye). There’s something about that added mango in the Bombo that just brought it to a completely different level.
For food, we decided to order some burgers which were fantastic. The whole menu is on their website and I already have a few other things I want to order next time (I see you beer cheese). So, if you’re looking for a quick drive to get out of the house on a beautiful day, I totally recommend Chatham Brewing.
