Walking through Glens Falls and feeling parched? Have you tried local beer made by Davidson Bros?

Davidson Bros was started in 1993 by the Davidson brothers, of course. It was a trip to Baltimore and a stop in Bill Oliver’s Wharf Rat that persuaded them to start their own brewpub. In 1996, they put a bid on a building in downtown Glens Falls and Davidson Brothers Restaurant & Brewery opened to the public on October 14, 1996.

I stopped in to Davidson Brothers for, what else, a flight of beer and a snack along with it. I’m not too familiar with Davidson Brothers beer even though they do offer some in bottles all over the Capital Region. My favorite was their Irish red ale for sure but they also offer a brown ale, IPA, Oatmeal Stout, and Scotch ale.

Along with our drinks, we ordered the Mexican Street Corn Bake ($13) with sauteed corn, queso fresco, crema, scallions, tortilla crumble, and a chipotle-aioli drizzle (FULL MENU HERE). That corn back was too good. I would even call it a can’t-miss dish if you’re in the area.
