There’s no doubt about it, we love sweets here in the Capital Region One example of that were the lines out the door of the delicious new doughnut shop, Darling Doughnuts.

July 2020 was a big time in Saratoga Springs. Yes, we were dealing with the life and times of COVID-19 but it was the same time Darling Doughnuts opened Downtown. Now, this wasn’t the first time you’d probably heard the name Darling Doughnuts. They had been selling their delicious products at pop-ups all over the Capital Region (mostly Saratoga and North). My first experience was with a beer tasting at the old Common Roots before the fire.

Now, two years after the start of the business, owner Natascha Pearl-Mansman finally has a storefront to call home. She’s originally from Glens Falls and we’re happy she stayed in the Capital Region to open up her new sweet adventure.

There’s something different about the doughnuts from Darling Doughnuts and not just because they’re beautiful. The flavors she comes up with are different than any you’d see elsewhere like Tropicolada (coconut, mango, and pineapple glazed topped with toasted coconut), Caramel Stroopwafel (caramel glazed topped with a caramel-filled stroopwafel), and even Dunkaroos (funfetti frosting glazed with vanilla wafer crumble, buttercream swirl and a vanilla wafer). To see the full list of doughnuts, check out the Darling Doughnuts website.

The buzz may have died down a little, meaning they’re not selling out before noon anymore, but flavors still go pretty quickly. If you want to be sure that you get to taste all the flavors of the day, make sure you preorder and then, you won’t have to worry.
