Another day, another local brewery and this time, we went to Clifton Park to check out SingleCut North.
We love to take trips around the Capital Region trying the various breweries and recently, we stopped by SingleCut North in Clifton Park. The reason I say SingleCut “North” is because we’re not the only SingleCut location. SingleCut started in the city but luckily, a few years ago, decided to add a new location up here. According to their website, “SingleCut Beersmiths was founded by Queens/NYC born, music-obsessed brewer Rich Buceta, whose life-long passions led to a place where hops and vinyl could shine side by side.” SingleCut North took over what used to be Shmaltz Brewing for about 5 years, until they moved to Downtown Troy.
The vibe inside of SingleCut North is pretty interesting. What you can probably guess from their labels and beer names, they are very music-centric. They play music off of vinyl inside the tasting room, have a projector screen with old television shows (Golden Girls when we were inside), and a patio outside to hang out. I haven’t been able to try a ton of their beers yet but if you’re a fan of a chocolatey stout, I highly recommend Eric More Cowbell! It’s creamy and very chocolatey.
