Windy Hill Orchard isn’t just a great place to pick your own apples but it’s also a place to try some of their alcoholic beverages and try cider donuts in a way you never have before.
Windy Hill Orchard started in Oneida, NY in 2015 by Scott and Todd Seeberger. According to their website, “Scott had 15 years in the Apple sales industry and Todd spend 20 years in the Health Care IT industry” so they took what they knew and decided to jump in to the apple business until 2019.
In 2019, they decided to grow their business to Castleton, NY. What you once knew as Goold Orchards became Windy Hill. “Since May 2019 we have worked tireless transforming the orchard to the new goto orchard in the Capital Region. To list a few things…we completely remodeled the Farm Store, added fire pits/Adirondack chairs throughout the orchard, free wagon rides, free corn mazes and many more exciting things.”
While you’re there, make sure you get some delicious cider donut treats which included an ice cream sandwich with chocolate, an ice cream sandwich with apples, dunkaroo donuts, and a delicious frozen apple cider with a donut on top!
