A staple of Downtown Saratoga since 1999, The Wine Bar of Saratoga is full of delicious food, a knowledgeable staff, and oh yeah, delicious wine.
I had the opportunity to taste the delicious foods offered at The Wine Bar of Saratoga recently. The Wine Bar originally opened in 1999, though the building itself dates back to 1825.
The Evans’ wanted “to create an environment in which people could share a casual evening with friends enhanced by fine wines in a comfortable ambience.” That’s exactly what they did.
My boyfriend and I sat at the bar and were pleasantly surprised by just how knowledgeable the bartender Jess was about the numerous wines offered at the Wine Bar. If you’re not a wine drinker but have always wanted to be, this is the perfect place to find something you’ll like – the bartenders are that good.
We started our meal off with the charcuterie with assorted cheeses and meats, pickled vegetables, grapes, and baguette ($21). Everything was so beautiful and so fresh, a perfect nosh for while you’re enjoying your first (and maybe second) glass of wine. For dinner, we split a veggie cheese pizza ($10). The pizza was definitely large enough to be split between two people and then maybe still enough to take home. It was crispy, warm, and completely delicious.
