Sometimes you want an ice cream cone and sometimes you want a milkshake covered in ice cream and a ton of fixings that it’s almost the size of your head. The last time I was in NYC, it was the latter.
So, I’ve been following Black Tap on Instagram for a while. Every milkshake looks like delicious artwork always covered in a bunch of things, all of which I want to eat. Black Tap started to create the “Crazyshake” in 2012 and since then, their business has exploded from NYC to all over the world.
Aside from how fantastic and necessary the Crazyshakes are, their burgers are really good too. It’s one thing to figure out the formula for a beautiful-looking and delicious-tasting shake, it’s another to also pair that with a perfectly cooked burger. Another notable food is their delicious Brussels Sprouts – so good! Burger-wise, I ordered The Greg Norman ($21) a 1/2 pound wagyu beef burger with house buttermilk-dill, blue cheese and arugula. It’s won people’s choice awards 3x in a row and I can 100% taste why (see their locations here).
The burger was cooked beautifully and I love blue cheese with burgers. End that with this delicious Brooklyn Blackout ($16), a chocolate frosted rim with mini chocolate chips topped with two chocolate brownies, whipped cream & chocolate drizzle, and that’s a fantastic meal!
