Skaters! Albany is excited to open up a place for you to show off your skills!

A new community center is opening in Downtown Albany, and with it, a new indoor skateboard park.

WNYT reported that this part is ” part of an $18 million project being developed by the nonprofit group Noteworthy Resources of Albany which is part of a bigger project by Rebird Development.” They’re hoping to create a new hub for the community to interact and create support for people of all ages.

The executive director of Noteworthy Resources, Tatiana Gjergji, said, “I’m very proud to be spearheading this community organization involving so many people to not only help them learn how to skateboard, but help them with resources with mental health, business seminars, a platform for people to connect and network.”

The space will be opening on the 900 block of Broadway later this fall, no official date has been announced.
