Country music fans are in for a treat when seven-time Grammy Award-winning country music legend Randy Travis returns to the stage at the Charles R. Wood Theater in Glens Falls, NY on Saturday, August 26 at 3 p.m. Travis’ return follows two prior sold-out shows during the inaugural Kevin Richards’ Country Concerts Close Up! series.
Kevin Richards, a seven-time CMA broadcast nominee and winner, launched the first Country Concerts Close Up! series with Travis in September 2022. This was followed by a sold-out Aaron Tippin performance, and packed houses for David Maoicco’s Liberace Tribute, Grammy Nominee Ty Herndon, and NBC’s “The Voice” Billy Gilman.
Richards’ mission is to put talented singers and songwriters back in the spotlight in an intimate environment where you can see and hear every note and participate in a live Q&A session, hosted by Richards.
“Randy & Mary Travis: A Conversation with a Legend” will again feature stories and songs hosted by Richards, an audience Q & A session, Travis’ biggest hits performed by New England’s Nashville bound duo Martin and Kelly, and a piano-bar style sing-along with CMA broadcast winner Richie Phillips and regional fan favorite Mark Pierre.
“Immediately after the first shows, emails poured in asking me to bring the Travis’ back. Both from people who were so moved by the experience and wanted to bring friends and family and from those that couldn’t get tickets to the first sold-out shows,” said CMA broadcast winner, Kevin Richards. “It’s not just the music that people love so much, it’s Randy and Mary themselves, and their life story, that so many can relate to.”
