What has quickly made Union St. in Schenectady a very popular weekly stop, local marijuana dispensary makes it even easier for you to shop.
Upstate Canna Co (once named Upstate CBD) is the Capital Region’s first dispensary and already expanding their business to offer delivery. Fans of the store are aware of the extensive lines outside of the store which, on opening day, had a wait time of at least three hours! The lines have gotten smaller but they’re still looking for easier ways to get Capital Region residents the products they need.
First, they offered pick-up. You order what you want online, give them a pick-up time and it’s ready there and waiting for you to drive to the store on Union Street in Schenectady to go get it. Now, you don’t even have to leave your house.
There are some stipulations that CBS 6 reported. “You place your order online, set a pick up time and location, have your ID on hand, and then just wait for your delivery. [Don] Andrews [owner] said that it’s required by the law that the person who places the order picks up the order. If the person who placed the order is not at the delivery location when it arrives, Andrews must take the order back to his shop.”
Delivery is also to help stop illegal sales of marijuana within the state. The Office of Cannabis Management announced that they’re implementing a $20,000 a day fine for unlicensed marijuana sales as well as seize any product and shut them down with a court order.
