I know, we just got summer and already we’re thinking fall/fair season. Don’t worry, there’s still plenty of summer to enjoy but a heads up that when that fair time does come, the prices for the Altamont Fair will be different.
The Altamont Fair has announced that they’re changing the way they charge admission. The fair, which will be in Altamont August 15 to 20, has decided to separate ride pricing and general admission (News 10).
“This year we want to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy the fair in the way that suits them best,” said a fair spokesperson in a press release. “To accomplish this, we are giving our patrons the choice whether to ride or not. Gate admission and ride pricing are now separate.”
The general/gate admission will include parking, general access, entertainment, demonstrations, music and exhibits. If you want to participate in the rides, they can be purchased separately as single tickets or with an unlimited ride wristband.
Opening day, gate admission will be $5. After that, admission for ages 10+ will be $13. Ride tickets will be $1.50 each, 20 tickets for $30, 50 tickets for $60 and unlimited wristbands for $30 per day ($25 on opening day).
“We are excited to offer our patrons ride options to meet their needs. If you want unlimited rides, you can still purchase an unlimited ride wristband. If you choose to ride just a few rides you can do that too,” said Amy Anderson, fair manager.
