Fidens Brewing which opened in 2018 in Colonie has decided to expand operations and is moving to downtown Albany.
Fidens Brewing is known in the area for having great beer. Any time I ask about local breweries to try, it’s always mentioned. The only issue, in my opinion, is that their location was kind of hidden and not that great, but not for long.
Fidens Brewing announced, according to the Times Union, that they’re opening a brewpub in the coming months in the warehouse district of downtown Albany. They’re moving into the location that was once called Vintage and no-ware pint that’s been vacant for about three years.
“The Fidens brewpub will have 24 draft beers, most made by Fidens, with occasional guest drafts featuring beer produced by Fidens in collaboration with other small breweries, said Greg Wilhelm, the company’s general manager and a partner. There will be no mass-produced beers, he said. It is scouting for an experienced chef, who will be tasked with developing a menu of food complementary to the company’s beer, Wilhelm said.”
The beer will continue to be made in Colonie at the original location but the retail space will be moving to Albany. They’re looking to open late spring, early summer.
