We have locally filmed movies and television shows and now, it seems the Today Show got word of what a great place we are in Upstate New York!

The Lake George Regional Chamber of Commerce & CVB announced this week that the Today Show will be filming from Lake George tomorrow (Feb. 20, 2023) to feature it in a new series called “TODAY’s Winter Escape!”

The new series will highlight different destinations across the country. Most of the series is focusing on warmer weather locations but they couldn’t leave out how great Lake George is in the wintertime.

The segment will be filmed live at Fort William Henry Hotel and Conference Center with the Lake George Winter Carnival’s hot chocolate bar. The public is invited to attend and must be in place no later than 7:30 a.m. but please note that the live spot doesn’t air until 8:30 a.m. and you will have to stand outside. Also, The Fort is sold out that night so parking will be limited.

At 8:30 a.m. TODAY anchors will introduce the segment and toss to Onorato to interview Mayor Robert Blais, the nation’s longest-serving mayor with 52 years in office.

According to the Chamber website:
