When Is the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train Stopping Here?

It’s crazy to think how fast this year has gone and already we’re marking on our calendars when to expect the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train in the Capital Region.

Like every holiday, you want to try to do something to boost your spirit for the season. One great way (that’s also incredibly kid friendly) is the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train. This is the first time the train is making its way around since COVID-19. The train pulls up to the station, opens a car with a stage and performs a 30-minute concert for free. They do ask that you bring a non-perishable food item or cash to donate to a local food bank. You can track the train on their website.

According to their site, “The U.S. Holiday Train departs Montreal on November 22 and…Lindsey Ell and JoJo Mason will perform for communities in New York, southern Ontario, and down through Chicago to Kansas City… The Canadian Holiday Train departs Montreal on November 27 and follows CP tracks west to Vancouver…and wrapping up in the greater Vancouver area on December 18.”

  • Mechanicville on November 27; the train will arrive at 5:30 pm with the concert starting at 6 pm with Canadian country stars Lindsey Ell and Jojo Mason | 300 Park Avenue, the parking lot adjacent to CP tracks
  • Saratoga Springs on November 27; the train will arrive at 7:20 pm with the concert starting at 7:30 pm with Canadian country stars Lindsey Ell and Jojo Mason | Amtrak Station, 26 Station Lane
  • Fort Edward on November 28; the train will arrive at 1:05 pm with the concert starting at 1:15 pm with Canadian country stars Lindsey Ell and Jojo Mason | Amtrak Station, 70 East Street
