Altamont’s Curry Patta Announces Closure

An Altamont favorite announced on Facebook that they’re on borrowed time in their current space.

An Altamont favorite, Curry Patta has announced on Facebook that they will be closing on January 1, 2023. Nadia Raza, the owner of the Pakistani restaurant, says that she’s being thrown out while the landlord says she wasn’t paying her rent. As they say, there are three sides to every story so the general public may never know the exact truth. The Altamont Enterprise goes into more detail about that side of the situation.

Curry Patta just expanded that space to include a patio and more. According to Reddit, the original post has been taken down announcing the closure. It said “It is with a very HEAVY HEART, Curry Patta needs to announce that we are being thrown out of our current location on January 1st, 2023. Although we were anticipating a huge addition to our current restaurant, plans have changed and we are being asked to leave on the first of the year. We want to thank EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU in this community. Without you, we would not have been as successful and loved as we have been in the past 2 years ❤️”

A post a week or so ago states that they are relocating to a much larger space so luckily it doesn’t sound like it’s the end of Curry Patta and I’m curious to see where they end up next.
