There’s something about this time of year that just makes everyone get in the spirit. Whether you like it spooky or just like a few thrills, there’s a ton to do in the area to celebrate Halloween.

  • Haunted Hayride, Double M – Ballston Spa: start the attraction on a haunted hayride and then make your way through five different haunted houses. This year, including two completely new houses. Open select Thursday-Sunday nights until the end of October. Must RSVP, prices vary from $39.95 – 70.00 (Website).
  • Hallowed Harvest, Altamont Fairgrounds – Altamont: Experience the spooky family fun of Halloween at the Hollowed Harvest! The Hollowed Harvest brings to life more than 7,000 incredible Jack-O’-Lanterns creating stunning landscapes and larger-than-life structures designed to amaze audiences of all ages in a fun walk-through experience! Kids 4+ from $16-40 and adults $20-40, kids 3 and under are free. (Website)
  • Field of Horrors – Troy: six attractions, including the brand new Walking Trail of Terror. Open select Friday-Sunday nights until the end of October. No reservations, prices are $35 + fees (Website).
  • Zombie Zip-Lining, Mountain Ridge Adventure – Schenectady: This tour is not for the faint of heart. Your nightmare begins with a corpse-guided tour along a serial killer-infested forest to then be hauled into the trees among complete, utter horror. Once in the trees, you will be launched in complete darkness … alone, afraid and vulnerable … along a screaming steel cable hundreds of feet along Mountain Ridge Adventure’s awesome Zip Line Park. The terror occurs every Friday and Saturday night in the month of October from 7 PM-10 PM. RSVP online, $59/pp (Website).
  • Haunted Corn Maze, Schuyler Farms – Schuylerville: Are you wondering what comes out at night in the corn maze? Stop by and enter our Field of Screams Friday and Saturday nights in October to find out! You will never experience anything quite like the Field of Screams! Every twist and turn in the maze will hold a new surprise for you. As you navigate your way thru the corn maze, with just a flashlight to light your way, anticipation and fear will build inside of you. There are demons and ghouls around every bend…masked men with chainsaws following behind you…haunted buildings within the maze to pass thru…and many more surprises that will make you laugh and cry.  The Haunted Maze is a unique experience that will have you coming back year after year.   • Fight Fest, Six Flags Great Escape – Queensbury: Dare to enter the Halloween event of the season, featuring family-friendly attractions during the day…and thrills once the sun goes down (Website).
  • Nightmares Haunted House, Liberty Ridge Farms – Schaighticoke: Featuring 4 haunted attractions at 1 location. Each attraction scarier than the one before, sure to leave everyone who enters trembling with fear. Saturday nights in October and select Fridays (Website).
