There’s one meal that you can eat no matter what – breakfast. There’s something about breakfast that works no matter what time of day and luckily there are a bunch of places locally that offer it all day. I asked you for your favorite all-day breakfast places and this is what you said.
Halfmoon Diner (231 Grooms Rd, Clifton Park) – I know that breakfast is mostly about the food, and the Halfmoon Diner isn’t lacking in great options but they had me at $5 Bloody Mary, Mimosas, and Screwdrivers!
Union Cafe (1725 Union St, Schenectady) – I don’t know why a lot of the local diners tend to be Greek-American but as a big fan of Mediterranian food, I’m not mad about it. They have a great breakfast selection, it’s why they’re on the list, but maybe grab some spanakopita to-go!
Gateway Diner (899 Central Ave, Albany) – they call themselves “Albany’s Hometown Diner” and this Greek-American eatery has earned that title. Don’t miss out on the full page of breakfast options.
Blue Ribbon Diner (1801 State St, Schenectady) – there’s a reason there’s a number of diners on this list because, in my opinion, diners have the best breakfast. There’s a reason that this diner has been around as long as it has and has the following it does (and it’s not just the cheesecake)
Broadway Lunch (2101 Broadway, Schenectady) – they may be known for their hot dogs and meat sauce but they also serve all-day breakfast! Sandwiches, omelets, french toast, and more!
Don & Paul’s Coffee Shoppe (68 Broad St, Waterford) – they call themselves “very mom and pop” but according to reviews “Always love this place. Just a little mom and pops place, family owned and run. Food is always great as is the service and prices.”
Adirondack Winery (395 Big Bay Road, Queensbury) – Okay, I know what you’re thinking. Breakfast? at a Winery? Yes. Adirondack Winery just opened a new tasting room in Queensbury and they have a breakfast board that is just perfection. Plus, it’s a winery so there are some great drinks to pair with the waffles, yogurt, English muffins, and more!
Union Cafe has great breakfast, but they’re only open B & L, not sure why they’re on an all day list. Still wish they’d go back to dinners at least a few days per week, but that’s even more definitely not going to happen with current staffing situations.
