We Now Have an Event Calendar!

I’ve always made my website about what’s going on in the Capital Region. Whether it’s food, interesting news, and things to do, I’ve tried to deliver. Now, 518 Bites & Sights has taken a new step and has an event calendar!

Ever find yourself sitting at home, wanting to get out, but not knowing what there is all to go see and do? We all do! Honestly, that’s how this whole thing started. Now, hopefully, I can help out a little more by giving you an event calendar to check out. If you have a business or venue and want to see your events on the calendar, email me 518BitesNSights@gmail.com

First, to get to the events calendar, you just go to the events tab at the top of the homepage.

Then, you’ll be brought to a list of events in chronological order, but there are other ways to organize and find what you’re looking for. You can search for events (ex. Farmers’ Markets, band names, venue names, etc.) You can also organize the list differently. The default is “List” but you can always organize it by month, day, or my map and see the location.

Now, in the list, it has the date of the event to the left and at the top of each block is the date and time. The capitalized headline is the title of the event, under that is the location, and under that is a brief summary. If you see two arrows next to the time (Ex. in the second event next to “July 10 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm”), that means it’s a recurring event, and clicking that arrow will show you all of the upcoming events in that series.

Last, if you click on the event for more information, don’t forget to scroll to the bottom of the page. This is where you’ll find a summary of all of the information again, a map to find the event, and the website if you want to look more into it.

If you want these events to show up on your personal calendar to make sure you don’t miss ANYTHING, don’t forget to subscribe by clicking “Subscribe to Calendar”, there are a ton of options of calendars that it works with! You can find this at the bottom of each event page or the bottom of each page in the list.
