Kayak Shak’s Hammocraft in Saratoga This Summer

I don’t have a boat so I’m always looking for ways to experience being on the water without boat maintenance and I think I found the next thing I HAVE to try.

The Wyoming-based company Kayak Shak has made its appearance in Saratoga for the second year in a row. According to Saratoga Living, “Last summer, the Kayak Shak, Fish Creek’s resident kayak and stand-up paddleboard rental company, started renting out its Hammocraft, a floating platform outfitted with a frame that holds up to four hammocks at once.” The Hammocraft comes with an anchor so you can sit and enjoy the water without worrying about floating away and oars so you can maneuver the craft to where you what to go. They also welcome you to bring a cooler (gotta have something while you’re on the water) and it’s fun for all ages.

Reserve the Hammocraft on their website HERE. To rent the craft for 3 hours, it’s $150 ($180 on weekends) and for 6 hours, it’s $250 ($300 on weekends). There’s a maximum of four people and a minimum of two people.

Kayak Shak also offers single and double kayaks to rent for 3($25/$50) or 6 hours($45/$85) or a paddle board for 3 ($25) or 6 ($45) hours. You can also inquire about SUP Yoga classes on Saturday and Sunday mornings ($35 for class + rent/$25 for class only). You can also use their dock to launch your boat (anything without a motor), but they will change $10 for it.
