Wing Fest Coming Back to Glens Falls

Chicken wing fans! We may not be Buffalo but we have some great places with great wings and you can try them all in one day with the upcoming Wing Fest in Glens Falls!

Last year, they had to cancel because of the pandemic but this year the Glens Falls Wing Fest is back and bigger than ever! The festival is Saturday, April 30 from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. in downtown Glens Falls – a competition between local restaurants.

According to the Saratogian, “This year’s event is dedicated to Michael DuBray, known as DeeJay DuBray, who helped found the event and served as its chair and champion for many years. He passed away in January 2022 and will be honored during Wing Fest.”

There will be an opening ceremony at 11:30 a.m. at the City Park Bandstand with the National Anthem and a declaration from the Glens Falls Mayor. Then, this year will be the inauguration of the Michael DuBray Inferno Wing Eating Competition. Competitors will register for $25, which will go into a Michael DuBray Scholarship Fund. Register at www.glensfallscollaborative.com.

Tasting tickets are $1 per wing. Restaurants will serve from their storefronts on Glen, Ridge, Bay and Maple streets and restaurants from outside of that space will serve on the street. Votes will be collected until 3 p.m. with QR codes around the area.

“This year’s celebrity judges include Mayor Collins, Council at Large Jim Clark, four-time Olympic Trial speed skater Bridie Farrell, who holds three American Records and is the founder of NY Loves Kids, and local chef Chef Armand Vanderstigchel of Brasserie Benelux on Broadway in Saratoga Springs.”
