Twice a week, I’ll ask questions about your favorite things locally. When I asked for your favorite restaurants “north of the twins” (meaning the Twin Bridges/Exit 9 on the Northway, if you’re not originally from here), you came up with some great ones. Lake Ridge Restaurant – 35 Burlington Ave, Round Lake
A high-end mainstay with a mahogany bar presenting New American entrees in a warm, homey atmosphere.

The Log Jam Restaurant – 1484 U.S. 9, Lake George
Log cabin with stone fireplaces turning out American fare from a large salad bar to steaks.

Bentley’s Tavern – 4 Hemphill Pl, Ballston Spa
Beer & hearty American fare served in a simple sports pub with a 2-sided fireplace & free Wi-Fi.

Boca Bistro – 384 Broadway, Saratoga Springs
Spanish cuisine, tapas & wine are offered in an elegant 1864 space with brick walls.

Osteria Danny – 26 Henry St, Saratoga Springs
Trattoria featuring modern & classic Italian fare, including pastas & mains, in a convivial space.
