Another year, another Nine Pin 26er (post-COVID) and this year, I want that gold card. I’ll keep this updated with the ciders that they release each week.
Cider #1 – Strawberry Kiwi: This cider is co-fermented with New York apples and NY Hardy Kiwi sourced from Samascott Orchards in Kinderhook, NY. This round, fruity cider has strong aromatics, balanced acidity, and is characteristically off-dry.
I really enjoyed this one. The flavor was light, neither strawberry nor kiwi was overwhelming. Plus, it’s perfect for the summer.

Cider #2 – The Golden Empire – This classic New York cider is carefully crafted with a blend of Golden Russet and Empire apples, sourced from Samascott Orchards. The result is a dry, thirst-quenching cider, with vinous aromatics reminiscent of a fine Pinot Grigio.
