A beautiful new cafe has recently opened up in Monument Square in Troy. Though I’m sure Troy residents are happy about another vegan option, it’s what they stand for that’s the most to be excited about.
Cafe Euphoria says on their website, “we know transgender and gender-nonconforming communities have a complex relationship with home cooking. That’s why we bring familiar meals to a safe space where you can be yourself.” The owner of the cafe is trans and GNC and wants to create this beautiful place for people to eat, shop, and work as themselves and most importantly, safe being themselves.
Cafe Euphoria is open Tuesday-Sunday. Their menu offers cafe options, breakfast all day (bagels, burritos, etc.), lunch from 11:30 a.m. (tacos, eggplant sandwiches, etc.), salads and sides, desserts, and more. See the full weekday and weekend menu on their website.
I love that there’s a place in Troy where anyone can go and feel welcome. It’s a shame we have to specify that this place is welcoming and not be able to assume it still but I can’t wait to support this business and this unity and inclusion any time I’m in Troy!
