Kong Dog Corn Dogs are Coming to Albany

Quick, what’s one of the best things to eat at a fair? Well, a new eatery is coming to Albany to flip everything you knew about the corn dog.

I want you to think about a corn dog. Hot dog in the middle, cornbread-like on the outside, you dip it in mustard or ketchup and all of your once-a-year dreams come true. Well, once a year no more because Kong Dog is coming to Crossgates Mall and these aren’t the corn dogs you grew up with.

Kong Dog, which will be located on the upper level by H&M, is a Korean-style eatery that will take the original corn dog and put it through some wild concoctions. From choices like the Potato Kong Dog (corn dog coated in pieces of fried potato), to the Cheeto Kong Dog (corn dog sprinkled in hot Cheetos crumbs with a spicy mayo sauce), and a Peanut Choco Kong Dog for those looking for something sweeter (chocolate flakes wrapped with chocolate syrup and peanut flakes on top). Looks as if, if you don’t eat beef or pork, they do have a fried cheese option so just imagine a giant mozzarella stick with toppings. No word on when it’s opening but Crossgates Mall says “coming soon.”
