With the craziness that’s been this pandemic, we’re all trying to find some sense of normalcy. While the 2022 Saratoga Chowderfest may be changing a little, the tradition continues!
Usually, shortly after the New Year, we all freeze our buns off as we go door-to-door through Downtown Saratoga trying various soups, stopping at bars, and overall, just spending time supporting local businesses. This year, Discover Saratoga announced that it’s changing a little.
Instead of running January 29 through February 5 as it was originally planned, Saratoga Chowderfest has been moved to March 19-26. According to their website, “Saratoga Chowder Fest ‘N Tour will take place Saturday, March 19 through Saturday, March 26. Event-goers will have the opportunity to dine-in or purchase pints and quarts to-go at participating restaurants all week long. Discover Saratoga will end the week with the traditional celebration we all know and love! Chowderfest will take place on Saturday, March 26. Enjoy live entertainment and family-friendly activities from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. throughout downtown Saratoga Springs. Try $2 chowder samples and vote for your favorite.”
Will we still get the opportunity to walk the streets of Downtown Saratoga? Absolutely! Let’s just hope by mid-March we won’t be wearing as heavy as a jacket.
