New Bar/Live Music Venue Opens in Troy

Local business Pint Sized is opening their third location and this one has a different kind of concept.

After two successful locations (one in Albany and one in Saratoga Springs), Pint Sized opened their third location in Troy but with a bit of a twist on the bar you’re used to. In the space formerly occupied by Psychedelicatessen, they have the beer bar brand, Pint Sized, that you’re familiar with but they also added a new music venue called No Fun.

According to The Saratogian, the venue has two sets of doors leading to “two concepts working in harmony.” No Fun has an open floor plan to host live music and other events and Pint Sized will be like its other locations serving beer and having bottle service for local and interesting beers (in my opinion anyway).

“People have always asked why we haven’t done a project in Troy yet. I’ve always wanted to bring Pint Sized to its downtown and have looked at spaces on and around River Street as early as 2017,” Pint Sized owner and operator August Rosa said in a press release. “There is a lot going on in Troy and I never felt that a Pint Sized on its own would be enough with so many unique and innovative offerings to do in the area. The ‘No Fun’ event space will be what really sets this project apart. I absolutely see a need for dedicated performance space in downtown. We look forward to being a part of Troy’s downtown scene.”

The goal is to add an open-air patio for spring 2022 facing the popular Troy mural. According to their Facebook page, along with ticketed events, they will be hosting free weekly events. Keep up with their calendar via their Facebook page.
