One of the best spots to visit during the summer is Lake George. What if you get up there and the water temperature isn’t to your liking? Look it up in advance!
Chances are that in the middle of the summer, you’re not too worried about the temperature of Lake George. Let’s say though, you’ve been stuck in your house all winter and you just want to know if the temperature of Lake George has hit a tolerable level in early spring. Or, maybe it’s toward the end of the season and you want to get one more swim in before it freezes over.
The Lake George Association has a temperature gauge on its website that will give you the current temperature of one of your favorite summer getaways. According to their website, “This Lake George water temperature setting is taken at a depth of approximately one meter (three feet) every four minutes by Lake George Association equipment at Hall’s Boat Co in the Town of Lake George.”
That’s not all! Want to see the lake, too? “Our friends at WNYT-Newschannel 13 have one of their CDPHP First Warning Weather Camera at Hall’s Boats, as well.”
