After COVID kept us from walking around and tasting great food, Taste of Troy Food Tours is back in Albany and Troy!

Taste of Troy Food Tours LLC is delighted to announce the return of its two flagship food tours in Albany and Troy for the 2021 season and the launch of the new E.A.T. (Eclectic Albany Tastes) tour. All of the tours have been revamped and will be restarting on June 4th.

  • Season three of the successful Historic Downtown Albany Food Tours on the first, third, and occasional fifth Fridays, 12:30-3:30 p.m., June – October
  • Season five of the highly popular Central Troy Historic District Food Tours on Saturdays, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., June – October
  • New in 2021 – E.A.T. (Eclectic Albany Tastes) Food Tour, on the second and fourth Fridays, 1-4 p.m., June – October

The Historic Downtown Albany Food Tour features tastes from five independent Albany restaurants: • DeFazio’s Pizzeria Albany • C.H. Evans Brewing Company at the Albany Pump Station • The Olde English Pub • The Hollow Bar & Kitchen • Cider Belly Doughnuts.

The Central Troy Historic District Food Tour, starting Saturday, June 5, includes visits to three eateries and a walk through the amazing Troy Waterfront Farmer’s Market with tastes from three different market vendors. This season’s tour has been reworked extensively due to the pandemic and now partners with: • DeFazio’s Pizzeria • La Capital Tacos • Troy Waterfront Farmer’s Market (R&G Cheese Makers, Saratoga Apple and Parchment Baking Company) • Brown’s Brewing Company. The tour ends in time for guests to further explore and shop the Troy market.

The newest tour in Albany, offered on the second and fourth Fridays from June through October, will highlight many of the diverse cuisines and cultures that have made a home in Albany and some of the amazing historical features and heritage sites on the route: Historic Albany Warehouse, Underground Railroad Education Center and Ten Broeck Mansion. Featured tastes will be: • Sovrana’s • Oaxaquena Triqui • Rolf’s Pork Store • Allie B’s Cozy Kitchen • Roy’s Caribbean • Albany Distilling Co. • Cider Belly Doughnuts. Please note that this tour will be mostly standing tastes with limited seated stops.

Each tour is three hours long, and is a easy walking experience. Each person must either have proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID test less than 72 hours old from the tour date. You must also bring your own earbuds so that you can hear the guide as well as stay social distanced. Food items are individually plated and bringing your own bottle of water is recommended. Tour space is limited to eight guests and pre-booking is required.
