Owen Wilson has been seen around Saratoga Springs this week filming and upcoming independent film.
Owen Wilson has been seen around town filming for the upcoming independent movie called “Paint.” According to Deadline, Wilson will be playing Carl Nargle, Vermont’s answer to Bob Ross, who is dealing with a younger, more accomplished painter taking over. Saratoga Living is reporting that the movie is also staring Michaela Watkins (Saturday Night Live), Wendi McLendon-Covey (Bridesmaids) and Stephen Root (Office Space).
The shooting schedule hasn’t been released but he’s been seen all over the area, including in Schuylerville. Word is that the cast and crew are staying at Airbnbs across the Saratoga area. Hudson Valley Casting has also been looking for people to fill roles in the film, currently men, 65 years and older, who have comedy experience.
Popular tobacco store, James and Sons posted a picture to their Facebook where Wilson came in to learn how to smoke a pipe for the film. Let me know if you see Wilson popping up anywhere else in Saratoga these next couple of weeks!
