Has anyone else found that COVID-19 has also led to an increase in drinking wine in the last year? It’s relaxing, it’s delicious, and there’s a new local brand you need to check out.

Brotherhood Winery is America’s oldest winery and we’re lucky enough to have it here in the Hudson Valley. They have expanded their already successful brand to develop the new Bae wine (BAE = Before Anything Else). They currently only have two types of wine: a Reisling and a Sparkling Rose Pinot Noir.

According to the Brotherhood Winery website, the Reisling is “Elegant, crisp and refreshing, before anything else BAE Riesling is there for you. BAE is an irresistible white wine that delivers flowery aromas with delicious flavors of fresh peaches, ripe honeydew and slight notes of lemon zest.  BAE Riesling, here to be your BAE when nobody or nothing else can! Enjoy and cheer with BAE.” They also just introduced their Riesling in cans so it’s easier to bring around this summer.

Also, “#BAE Sparkling Rose has abundant aromas of luscious fruits such as strawberries, gooseberries, and cherries, together with delicate notes of rose petals. This #BAE pairs perfectly with light appetizers, shellfish, fresh salads, and of course, desserts. Enjoy and cheer with #BAE.”

Overall, both bottles were delicious and refreshing, perfect for the nicer weather! You can find the bottles all over the Capital Region, see where on their website. If you’re looking for a new local brand to try that’s fresh and tastes great, check out Bae wines and support local businesses WHILE drinking!

Note: Bae Wines/Brotherhood Winery sent me two bottles so that I would post about them on my website and social media
