You read that right, at select restaurants in the area, if you order guacamole, “The Rock” will Venmo you $10 to pay for it. You just have to help him out a bit too.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is turned 49 on May 2nd and wants to celebrate together by buying your guacamole. The only catch is that you also have to purchase a drink featuring his tequila, Teremana Tequila.
According to News10, Johnson will Venmo you up to $10 when you upload an itemized receipt or scan a QR code at a participating restaurant.
“I want to help get people safely back into our restaurants, bars and hotels,” The Rock said. “This is an industry close to my heart and one who normally gives all of us so much support year-round. These people need our help and support to get back in business…. Let’s go help them out, enjoy some amazing drinks and food and say thank you for all they do. And let everyone know that The Guac’s on The Rock!”
There are a few local restaurants that serve his tequila and are therefore participating in the promotion that runs May 1 through 5: Toro Cantina, 677 Prime, Restaurant Navona, Signal 30, and Tailgate Tavern. The full list is on the company’s website.
