Dominic’s Caramella Shop, Clifton Park

Do you like chocolate? Candy? Delicious sugar treats? Then you need to visit (and taste) Dominic’s Caramella Shop in Clifton Park Center.

Back in 2019, I announced that there was a new candy shop coming to Downtown Albany. I was hearing great things and then, all of a sudden, nothing. Now, I’m happy to see that Dominic’s Caramella Shop is still open but moved a bit north to Clifton Park.

If you follow the map of Clifton Park Center, it’ll tell you that the shop is inside – it’s not – it’s a few doors down from Fruit Loop. Hopefully, that’ll save you the amount of time I spent walking around the mall trying to find it. A new location, same great treats.

I went into a smell I wish I could bottle, surrounded by the most delicious-looking candies, truffles, chocolates, and more. Follow them on social media and you’ll see all of the great things they have to offer. I decided to get chocolate-covered Oreos (because I can’t turn them down), chocolate-covered potato chips out of pure curiosity, Oreo cookies, and cream bark, and some “buttercrunch”-style chocolate toffee. Everything was so good! It’s probably best I didn’t get more chocolate because I would’ve eaten so much more.

They specialize in so many different things like smash cakes, truffles, gummy candy, and chocolates per holiday (take a look at what they had for Easter). If you’re looking for a place to get chocolate, visit Dominic’s Caramella Shop.
