Alif Cafe, Glens Falls

I have been hearing great things about Alif Cafe but haven’t made it up to Lake George Village to try it out. Thankfully, they just opened a new space in Glens Falls and I was in the area.

In the old Samantha’s Cafe space, is a new cafe offering Pakistani and South Asian street food, Alif Cafe. Alif Cafe opened their Glens Falls space in January and are planning a bigger opening after COVID. 24-year-old owner Muhammad Saud’s parents own the Lake George location and the Tandoori Grill but he felt their cuisine was missing in the Glens Falls area, according to Glens Falls Living.

I decided to order a Naanwich. It didn’t seem like their full menu was available in the Glens Falls location yet so there weren’t as many options but everything looked and smelt delicious. I took the Naanwich over to Crandall Park to eat and my car smelt so good the whole way over there. The flavoring in the beef was fantastic, the naan was perfect, I just wish they were closer to Schenectady so I could go more often. They also offer rolled ice cream, a chai bar – literally everything I love under one roof.

I hear the Lake George location has been very successful and after tasting the food for myself, I can see why. I’ll have to visit that location for the full menu but the Naanwich is gonna be hard to pass up knowing how delicious it was!
