One of my favorite local ice cream places teamed up with one of my favorite local bakeries. You know I got there to try out their creation as fast as I could.
Kurver Kreme has been a staple in the Colonie area since the 1950s, serving some of the best ice cream the Capital Region has to offer. This year, they decided to pair up with another local business Bake for You for a delicious ice cream sandwich.
Bake for You is currently located in Slingerlands but I know Bake for You from its roots in a church basement in Downtown Albany, then through its growth on Delaware Ave, to its current location. Bake for You started featuring their delicious cookies before growing into a full-fledged cafe and other delicious bakery items you can order.
Now, Kurver Kreme is offering a delicious ice cream sandwich in either vanilla or chocolate featuring a huge Bake for You chocolate chip cookie (I may have already gone twice so far this season). The sandwich is pretty frozen so give it a little bit of time before you just bite into it. I want you to imagine a Chipwich but with a better quality cookie, better quality ice cream, local….okay, maybe ignore the Chipwich, go to Kurver and order one of these for yourself.
