It’s been a wild year but hopefully, with more and more things opening, we’ll get a sense of normalcy back – starting with movie theatres.
Regal Cinemas and other theaters were closed last year, March 2020, until they were allowed to reopen in October by Gov. Andrew Cuomo. Three weeks after reopening, Regal decided to close again, according to the Times Union.
Regal Cinemas will open its Colonie Center and Crossgates Mall locations on April 16th. The theatres at Clifton Park Center and Aviation Mall will be opening May 14th and the Regal in East Greenbush is set to open May 21st.
Bow Tie Cinemas in Schenectady has been open since mid-December, though the Bow Tie Cinemas location in Wilton seems to have closed permanently. The Madison Theatre in Albany is open as is Scotia Cinema and the theatre at VIAPort Rotterdam.
