Trader Joe’s Announces Second Capital Region Location

You won’t have to drive from all over the Capital Region to just Colonie anymore, Trader Joe’s is opening a second location!

Trader Joe’s opened their Wolf Rd, Colonie location back in 2012 and is now adding to their other 19 locations across the state with a new one in The Crossings in Halfmoon.

Supervisor Kevin Tollisen said to the Times Union, “We are very excited for this for Halfmoon…even in a COVID pandemic climate, businesses are coming to Halfmoon …Certainly, it will be welcomed by the residents.”

The Albany Business Review reported that the store itself is 12,500 square feet next to Berkshire Bank. No official word on when we can expect the opening but they’re looking to be moving quickly and hope to open sooner rather than later.
