COVID has changed a lot of annual events we look forward to but many events, like the Saratoga Chowderfest are finding ways around it.

Discover Saratoga announced that instead of the Chowderfest we’re used to, they’ll be hosting the first-ever Chowder tour.

The Saratoga Chowder Tour is a week-long event featuring local restaurants like in years past from Saturday, January 30th through Saturday, February 6th. Restaurants will instead have pints and quarts of chowder to-go. Voting will be online.

According to their website, “Saratoga Chowder Tour will allow customers who love chowder to enjoy it at multiple restaurants throughout the week, avoiding overcrowding and adhering to New York State dining guidelines. Due to limited capacity at restaurants, RESERVATIONS ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.”

“There will be no crowds, no $1 samples inside or outside, no shuttle service this year, and no blocked off streets, but there will still be lots of delicious bowls and cups of chowder to enjoy inside our local restaurants or to-go.”

Check the Discover Saratoga website for the full list of chowders and participating restaurants.
