Bumpy’s Polar Freeze: New Name, New Business

Bumpy’s Polar Freeze has been surrounded in controversy, especially in the last couple of months. We now have word that the building has been sold and will be a completely different kind of business.

You may remember a few months ago that owner of Bumpy’s Polar Freeze started a Black Lives Matter protest after it was allegedly found that he was sending racist text messages along with violating health codes. Well, the business is no more and the building is in new hands.

The new owners, Ashley and Gabe Viscariello of Schenectady, have announced on their Facebook page, “We were raised in the heart of Schenectady, fell head over heels in love, were married, and we are now blessed with the most wonderful little girl a couple could ask for.” They named the new business, Stella’s Creamery & Cakes, after their young daughter.

They go on to say, “We look forward providing our future customers an exceptional experience with respectful service for many years to come. We can only hope to be welcomed with open arms as we make this positive transition in our hometown.” They plan on opening sometime in 2021.
