It seems as if they waited as long as they could but, it’s official, Albany has canceled this year’s Alive at Five.

The City of Albany announced the cancellation of two summer events; Alive at Five and Dad Fest, according to News10.

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that mass gatherings above 10 people are banned until at least June 21st. Therefore, they can’t hold these events this year.

To replace the concert series, the City of Albany has created Live at Five. Live at Five is an hour-long series at 5:00 PM on Thursdays. Hip Hop Artist Souly Had is scheduled for Thursday, June 5th.

“Other upcoming events such as the Jazz Festival (currently scheduled for September 12), and the Last Run 5K (currently scheduled for December 12) are being evaluated and more information on any changes will be announced in the future.”
