We kind of assumed it was coming with everything going on but SPAC just made it official and canceled part of the season.
Two of the biggest annual events that come to Saratoga have officially been canceled. CBS6 has announced that the Dave Matthews Band will no longer be coming to the Capital Region this summer. They said that the concerts will be moved to 2021 and tickets from this year will be honored next summer. You can also get your tickets refunded as well.
Another huge event has been canceled at SPAC, the 2020 Freihofer’s Jazz Festival. The difference with this is that they are giving you a chance to see it anyway. CBS6 posted about the “Freihofer’s Jazz Fest Stay Home Sessions.” SPAC is partnering with Caffe Lena in Saratoga to bring you streamed performances over what would have been the festival weekend.
They also announced a way to help those on the front lines, “SPAC also announced an initiative to donate two tickets to first responders and local health care workers for performances during its 2021 season for every ticketholder of the 2020 festival who chooses to convert all or a minimum of $25 of their ticket purchase into a tax deductible donation.”
