Tina Fey to Speak At Free Central NY Event
Whether you’re a fan of her from Saturday Night Live, 30 Rock, her book “Bossypants,” or something else, we all can agree that Tina Fey is pretty funny and you have a chance to see her for free.
Tina Fey will be speaking at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY on October 22nd. Hamilton College students have the option to stream the talk for free so if you want to see her rare appearance Upstate, either find a student or buy tickets.
Hamilton College isn’t too far away and the event is open to the public, according to New York Upstate. Tickets will go on sale September 9th at 6:00am. Fey will be speaking at the college as part of the Sacerdote Series that had previous speakers “Derek Jeter, Jon Stewart, Aretha Franklin, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Condoleezza Rice, Madeleine Albright, Rudy Giuliani, Colin Powell, Jimmy Carter, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Lady Margaret Thatcher, and David Cameron.”
As mentioned in the event, “Tina Fey is an award-winning writer, actress, and producer who is known as Liz Lemon from her three-time Emmy Award-winning comedy series “30 Rock.” Prior to creating “30 Rock,” Ms. Fey completed nine seasons as a writer and cast member on “Saturday Night Live.” Ms. Fey’s film projects include Sisters, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Date Night and Mean Girls (which she wrote). In 2010, Fey became the youngest recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. In April 2011, Ms. Fey released her first book, Bossypants, which topped the New York Times bestseller list for over 36 consecutive weeks.”
