Hamilton: What You Need to Know

We’ve been waiting for years for it to come and finally, we’re here! Whether you don’t yet have tickets to the show and want them or you’re headed to the show next week, there are some things you need to know first.

First, you want tickets. All hope is not lost! Hamilton/Proctors announced a way that you can still get tickets from the comfort of your own home. 40 orchestra tickets will be released for each show for $10 each, according to the Proctors website. If you download the Hamilton official app, you have a chance to sign up for the #Ham4HamLottery two days before each performance. Each person has a chance to get two tickets. “The lottery will open at 11:00 AM EST two days prior to the performance date and will close for entry at 9:00 AM EST the day prior to the performance.”

Second, you have tickets and are going to the show. If you already have tickets, there are some new Proctors rules you need to know about before you head into the theatre. For this show, Proctors is implementing a clear bag policy limiting the size and kindof bags allowed into the show. You are only allowed “Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12′′x12′′x6′′ OR One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).” There will be a bag check for those unable to adhere to these rules.
